Zan Maeder lives and works on Kaurna land. They acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded by the Kaurna nation or the many other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nations in the country now known as Australia. Aboriginal cultural connections to Country have never ceased and continue to survive ongoing colonization. Zan pays deep respect to the Elders, Ancestors and emerging leaders who sustain Culture and community and whose legacy of resistance has made their work possible.

On the left of the flag is are triangular stripes for the transgender flag (white, pink, sky blue) then brown and black stripes representing queer people of colour. On the other side in horizontal stripes are the rainbow colours of the original pride flag, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. Second flag is the aboriginal flag. Black on top, red on the bottom with a yellow circle in the middle. Third flag is the Torres Strait Islander Flag. Green stripes on the outside then black stripes. Then blue in the middle with a white symbol of a traditional headress called a Dhari.
